Instagram is by far my favourite social media channel. I check this twice as much as I do Twitter or Facebook and I can spend far more hours on here than I do on Pinterest. It’s no surprise that it’s one of the fastest growing social networks and personally for me it’s a great source of inspiration. But as bloggers I think we can all be a little guilty of posting Instagram clichés. We don’t mean to. I mean who doesn’t love a candle, marble or rose gold? Which is why I thought I’d put together this fun post listing the 15 Instagram clichés we’re all guilty of.
- Marble backgrounds
- Rose gold everything
- Candles
- Ikea dressing tables or makeup storage units
- Peonies
- Mirrored selfies
- The Starbucks shot
- Perfect looking desks
- Succulents
- Muji storage drawers
- Healthy breakfasts
- Smoothies
- Fairy lights
- Printed quotes
- Nail of the day shots

You know what? I’ve never actually posted any of the above lol! I do see a lot of these though, especially the quotes. I think I really need to up my game with Instagram!

Marble Backgrounds are a must! haha x
Haha this is so funny, considering I’m on my way to get some candles. Sigh! Cliche indeed. Great post x

Luckily, I don’t think I do too many of these myself but they’re all over my feed!
They may be cliche but I do kind of love them 😉
This makes me giggle, especially the mirror selfies, totally guilty as charged.
I think one of the cliques I’m most guilty of is the lush bath!
