9 bloggers to follow in 2019

Now I don’t know about you, but I feel like blogs are making a come back this year. If 2018 was the year of Instagram and quick to digest media. Let 2019 be the year that we take it back to basics with the blog. And invite people to take time out of their busy digital lives to slow down. And spend uninterrupted time catching up with their favourite blogs. Personally, I think blogging is overdue a comeback. As a Digital Marketer I see the long term value in a blog post compared to the short term gain of an Instagram post. And as an avid blog reader, it’s been disheartening to see so many of my favourite bloggers from the past decade or so shut up shop in favour of the Instagram world. Which is why I wanted to kickstart 2019 by sharing the love for some of my favourite bloggers who are still killing it with amazing content. So here are the nine bloggers to follow in 2019:

VIX MELDREW

Now if you read my blog post about getting my mojo back when it comes to blogging. Then you would have seen this amazing lady featured. Not only does she write a kick-ass awesome blog. But she also offers hugely motivating blog coaching/newsletter/resources from Exciting Emails. She’s definitely one to follow in 2019 (if you don’t already) especially if you’re wanting to grow your blog over the next 12 months.

LEMONAID LIES

I first met Kenzie a couple of years ago at a Ted Baker event and we hit it off straight away. Her blog and Instagram are full of dreamy pictures that make me want to book a ticket to a far flung destination ASAP.

SOPHIE ETC

Now I’ve followed Sophie for a while now and she’s such a sweetheart. She’s also the font of all knowledge when it comes to where to eat and what to do in Milton Keynes. A place that I find myself in more and more now that I work there.

FRANCES HEMMANT

Another blogger to follow this year is Frances. Not only is she such a big supporter of other bloggers but she’s also pretty local to me living over in Cambridge. Her style is chic yet affordable and her lifestyle posts are insightful and relatable.

ALBERTINE SARAH 

Now I’m sure most bloggers will know this lady as the Commissioning Editor from Blogosphere Magazine. But she’s also a fab blogger in her own right. Her style is real, she’s not afraid to tell it how it is and her posts reflect the reality of her life as a busy twenty-something London gal.

JESSICA KG

Now if you’re looking for a new beauty blog to follow this year then this is the blog for you. Jam packed with beauty insight, advice and reviews. Jessica really is the font of knowledge when it comes to what products or treatments actually work.

EMILY LUXTON 

Now travel is big on my agenda for 2019, and this lady is an absolute travel queen! There literally is no place she hasn’t been and written about it. Whether you’re looking for advice on solo travelling, or just want to know where to visit in South America – this lady has you covered.

FRESHLY PRESSED BEAUTY 

Another beauty blog to give a read of this year is Daniella’s one – Freshly Pressed Beauty. Not only is she obsessed by beauty, but as someone who is as a pale as me – that’s no easy feat – she’s the perfect person to go to for pale skin makeup ideas.

NERD ABOUT TOWN 

Now when it comes to style, acceptance and just generally rocking any outfit, Steph is the absolute queen! I envy her confidence, her wardrobe and her ability to strike a pose. Because in my opinion she is absolutely killing it!
