I’m a big fan of gel nails and a big fan of the Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paints, which is why I was rather pleased to spot the new Autumn/Winter colours when I was in Boots last week.
So for those of you not familiar with these, the Barry M Autumn/Winter Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paints create the illusion of gel nails, without the need or expensive to visit the salon for gel nails. The advanced formula doesn’t require a base coat, so all you need to do is apply two coats of the nail paint and then apply the topcoat that comes as part of the range. Then you have manicure that can last up to 10 days and when you want to remove them, you just use regular nail polish remover.
Out of the new shades, I’ve picked up Dark side of the Shroom which is the gorgeous mushroom colour that I’m a little obsessed with and Plum On Baby Light My Fire which is the lovely deep purple colour. Both the polishes apply just like a regular Barry M polish and dry pretty quickly, leaving them ready for a coat of the special topcoat. Which works by setting the nails in natural daylight, giving them a shiny and long lasting finish that is reminiscent of a gel manicure.
Have you tried the Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paints before? What do you think of the two Autumn/Winter shades?
If you enjoy reading my blog posts it would be amazing if you could take a moment to nominate me for the ‘Best in Beauty’ category in the Cosmopolitan awards here. I will love you forever!
