Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paint

Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paint

Ever wanted gel like nails without the hassle and expense of visiting a salon? Of course you do. And as someone who has had gel nails on and off for the past five years, I’ve been looking to try something that gives the effect of gel nails without the damage that comes with them. Which is why I’ve been eager to try the new collection from Barry M.

The Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing polishes and topcoat promises the look of salon style gel nails without the need for a UV lamp, or the expense of a professional having to do it for you. Sounds good right? And it is. There are seven shades on offer along with a transparent topcoat and as the advanced formula doesn’t even need a base coat. So you can just apply two coats of the colour of your choice from the Sunset range, then apply the magic topcoat and voila. A manicure that could lasts up to 10 days. Plus there’s no hassle when you want to remove them, you just use regular nail polish remover.

The polishes apply just like a regular Barry M polish and dries pretty quickly, leaving them ready for a coat of the special topcoat. Which works by setting the nails in natural daylight, giving them a shiny and long lasting finish that is reminiscent of a gel manicure. Currently there are seven shades on offer from red and navy through to coral and teal. I currently have the Barbie pink and love it. It’s not the same as having gel nails, but it has left them looking shiny and lasting longer than other nail polishes I’ve tried recently. I just hope they release some more colours soon.

The Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paint and Topcoat cost £4.99 each and are available online.

Have you tried these before?

I’ve been eyeing these up, how long have they been lasting on you? I do my own gel nails as I have the kit so probably won’t stop doing them-BUT if the Barry M stuff lasts well it’s more portable to do when I go away etc

They don’t last as long as a gel manicure. They lasted about five days on my nails before they started to chip x

That’s a gorgeous shade, and the product seems perfect for when you want a longer lasting manicure without the fuss of popping into the salon. Can’t wait to check out the range. x

Wow, seems like a good result. I’ve been after a new ‘gel effect’ polish so I’ll have to try these out come payday 😉
