Since the Bourjois Healthy Balance Foundation launched a few years ago all I’ve done is read rave review after rave review. I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to try this foundation but while browsing the beauty aisles of Boots before Christmas I finally picked this up as a replacement for my usual everyday foundation. And I love it.
Unlike other foundations I use, this one has a gel formula that is light with a natural finish, adding just a hint of colour and radiance to my face. This foundation has a light to medium coverage, though it probably is leaning more towards medium but it is incredibly lightweight and dewy so it doesn’t feel heavy on your skin at all. I prefer to apply this with my Real techniques Buffing Brush for a flawless finish, though you can also apply this with your fingers or a makeup sponge if you prefer.
What I also love about the Bourjois Healthy Balance Foundation is the fresh fruity scent. It literally is the nicest smelling foundation I’ve every tried! I tend to apply this with a primer underneath to ensure it’s longevity, and it lasts on my face from morning until night, which is impressive considering I have quite oily skin.
The Healthy Balance foundation has become my everyday go-to foundation. I love the coverage, I love the smell and the finish is impressive for something that costs a third less than some of my favourite high end foundations. It’s definitely a firm favourite in my makeup bag.

I have so many foundations but I am always looking to true new ones. The fact that it is lightweight is a good thing for me because I have quite dry skin so anything too heavy doesn’t sit right x
The smell of this is gorgeous and it feels lovely on but i find it doesn’t last well on my oily skin x

Which primer do you use? I have it and it doesn’t last on my oily skin, but I love the finish it gives! x
