Desk tour

Now I don’t know about you, but for me, January is a time for fresh starts, new beginnings and starting to spring clean. Now for me, that spring cleaning is needed as I’m planning on making some changes to my space. I want to de-clutter, re-decorate and just generally make my space. Feel more like me. Inject a little bit of my personality in the décor and interior. And one of the first places, I’ve de-cluttered and re-decorated is my desk.

Now this area is rather small, but I finally feel like it’s beginning a space that I like to work in. A space that feels relaxing, and feels inspiring. A place where I can sit with my millions of notebooks and plan all the blog content, work content and just general life content. It’s also the place that I end up doing my makeup, while that area is getting revamped – all will be revealed soon! Which means I really do need to sort out a good ceiling light for this area, as it can get a little dark. But I have to say, I’m so pleased with this beautiful rose gold desk lamp that I picked up in The Range!

Now admittedly, I didn’t do a lot with the desk to make the changes. In terms of the desk, items, it was a case of reorganising some areas. Getting rid of the things I no longer use or need. And finding a home for everything that I really need in that area. But the most fun was definitely putting together the picture gallery. I’ve wanted one for the longest time. And I’m so happy with how it turned out!

The only other thing I’m missing in this space are some blinds. But having lusted over shutters lately on Instagram I think I may be splurging on them for this space. I’ve already picked out the most beautiful ones from Direct Blinds. I just need to get the rest of the room ready before they can go in.
