Now I don’t know about you, but my skin is in need of a pamper right now. The weather has turned colder. The nights are getting darker earlier. And I’m still eating and drinking my feelings while I cope with the global pandemic. Which means my skin, has certainly looked better. If like me, you’re skin could also do with a pick me up, then here are my top six face masks for combination skin. These are all at varying price points, but all work just as well at given my skin the much needed boost it needs.
CHANTECAILLE JASMINE & LILY HEALING MASK £75

First up is the Chantecaille Jasmine & Lily Healing Mask. Which is a pricey mask, but so worth the hefty price tag. Enriched with black clay, this mask works to draw out any impurities and restores the face’s natural minerals. While also helping to reduce the appearance of pores.
The mask also contains pure honey and rosemary, which helps to nourish the skin, while also refreshing the senses. Overall, this mask feels like a luxury spa treatment in a jar. I love it.
OSKIA LIQUID MASK LACTIC ACID MICRO-PEEL £65

Next up is the Oskia Liquid Mask Lactic Acid Micro-Peel. Now technically, this is a peel, but the results are too good to leave out! You just apply this a couple of evenings a week before bed. And wake up in the morning to a refreshed appearance.
Formulated with 10% lactic acid, this treatment really does improve your skin’s texture and condition. When I use it, I find my skin has a lovely glow to it, and feels smoother in the morning.
ALPHA H CLEAR SKIN BLEMISH CONTROL MASK £22.95

Moving onto the Alpha-H Clear Skin Blemish Control Mask. Designed as a deep cleansing mask with white clay, the mask gently draws our any toxins or impurities, while rebalancing your skin. And with a mix of tea tree, eucalyptus and aloe vera, these natural antiseptic properties help to calm your skin and reduce any inflammation. While the Macadamia seed and Jojoba Oils work to nourish the skin.
What I love about this mask is that you only need to apply a thin layer to your skin for maximum results. And what’s more, you don’t always need to apply the mask to your whole face. You can use it on the areas that need it – for me, that’s the t-zone – as well as using it as an emergency ‘spot’ treatment to target individual blemishes.
DERMALOGICA CHARCOAL RESCUE MASQUE £45

Another great face mask for combination skin is this one. The Dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Masque. I love that this doubles up as an exfoliator. With binchtotan charcoal as one of the key ingredients, this face mask is great for drawing out the impurities and toxins from your skin. Leaving it brighter and smoother.
You use this just like you would a normal face mask – apply it on your face and neck avoiding your eyes and let it dry. Once it’s dried, you need to wet your hands and massage the mask into your skin to exfoliate before rinsing off as normal.
TROPIC CLEAR SKIN BLEMISH FIGHTING MASK £20

Next up is the Tropic Skincare Clear Skin Blemish Fighting Mask. And this is genuinely one of my absolute favourites at the moment. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve repurchased this, but I’ll always have a jar of this in the bathroom cabinet.
I just love the smell, I love that it’s green, and I love the way it tightens when you apply it – weird I know! And even though it’s mainly designed for those who suffer with breakouts and spot prone skin. It also works wonders for those of us who suffer with oiliness. Which is what I mainly use it for. And combined with the Pure Lagoon, my oiliness is well and truly under control.
CLARINS SOS PURE REBALANCING FACE MASK £30

And finally, it’s the Clarins SOS Pure Rebalancing Face Mask. With an absorbent and non-drying texture, the mask works to purify and restore super soft skin thanks to it’s combination of plant ingredients. The organic alpine willow herb extract works to limit shin and promote a matte skin. Which is perfect for winter. While a combination of white and green clay helps to absorb impurities, smooth skin texture and boost radiance. Hallelujah!
So there you have it. My pick of the best six face masks for combination skin. Let me know in the comments if you use any of these. Or what face masks you love to use.
