Five skincare products I can’t live without

*This post contains both gifted items and items I’ve bought myself as well as affiliate links, but as always, all opinions are my own*

Now I don’t know about you, but when it comes to skincare, I think we can all agree that we have our favourites, right? And while I’m not the best at maintaining a ‘perfect’ skincare routine. I do try. And I do have some amazing products that I’ve used for years and just couldn’t imagine not seeing on my skincare shelf every morning and evening. So here are the five skincare products I can’t live without.

PIXI DOUBLE CLEANSE BALM

Five skincare products I can't live without | Merry Musing

Now this has been a lifesaver for me this year. It’s a tub that is split into two parts. A sold oil cleanser to break down your makeup on the left. And a cream cleanser to cleanse and hydrate your skin on the right. And I have to say it’s a dream to use. I love that you basically have two products in one, and that it’s from one of my favourite skincare brands – Pixi. You can find the Double Cleanse balm here.

FOREO LUNA 2 FACIAL CLEANSING BRUSH

Now this is probably my favourite gadget in the bathroom. And even though I’ve had it for quite a few years now. It’s still an absolute favourite. If you’ve not tried one before then you’re missing out. This face cleansing gadget is the only thing that I trust to unclog my pores, lift away any dirt or oil and leave my skin looking and feeling healthier. You can find the Foreo here.

DERMALOGICA SKIN SMOOTHING CREAM

I’m not sure I’ve ever tried a product from Dermalogica that I didn’t love. And this skin soothing cream is no exception. It’s my daily moisturiser and the only one that I rely on to re-hydrate my fine lines and relieve any tightness. You can find Dermalogica here.

VERSO SUPER FACIAL SERUM

Now if you’ve not heard of VERSO before, they’re Swedish and they focus on incredibly powerful anti-ageing products. VERSO is actually Latin for reverse which suits them perfectly. This lovely thick but nourishing serum works to repair and regenerate your skin. It has a high does of VERSO’s Retinol 8 Complex which really helps to improve the tone, texture, clarity and luminosity of the skin. I have to say this just leaves my skin feeling incredibly hydrated and I find myself waking up with clearer and plumper skin in the mornings. You can find VERSO skincare here.

AQUA REOTIER ULTRA-THIRST QUENCHING CREAM

Now if you’re looking for an intense, cooling moisturiser, that’s thirst-quenching then this is the cream for you. It aims to instantly recharge your skin with water to leave your complexion replenished, radiant and plumped. And it definitely does that. Plus, the beauty of this cream is that you can use this as part of your morning or evening skincare routine as it’s incredibly light on the skin. And it sinks in incredibly quickly. You can find L’Occitane here.

What are the skincare products you can’t live without?

I can’t believe that, apart from the Foreo Brush, I’ve not used any of these products!

Adding everything to my to-try list.

I’m so bad at looking after my skin. I’ve always been lucky and now I’ve got to the age I need to take notice. Mich X

I need to use the double cleanse more as I have it, but sadly it’s not the best sized product to have out with your skincare products x

Oh god this list made me feel bad! I am terrible when it comes to skin care, I used a cleanser and that’s about it!

These all sound like fantastic products! I’ve got a similar facial cleansing brush but mines about a quarter of the size! It’s a genius product though isn’t it!

I love the sound of the brush – I’ve not seen them before, sounds like a really simple way to care for my skin

I need to sort out my skincare routine – my skin is so dry at the moment. That brush looks amazing. Kaz
