Finding happiness with the Happiness Planner

Finding happiness with the Happiness Planner

To say I’m planner obsessed would be an understatement. I have more notebooks, planners and journals than anyone would ever need in a lifetime. But you can never have too many right? Especially when they look as pretty as this one. But what’s different about the Happiness Planner, is the idea behind it. It helps you to focus on the positives in order to bring more happiness into your life. I don’t think I’m alone in forgetting what I have achieved and how far I’ve come and only looking at what I have to achieve, or what’s coming up. Rather than appreciating the moment. I used to think happiness was a reaction to something exciting happening. And if nothing exciting was happening, my life was boring. But this journal helps you realise that true happiness lies in feeling content with what you have. Not what you don’t have.

And that you can control your happiness. It’s not easy, but this Happiness Planner really helps you focus on the good things in your life. Each daily page starts with a positive quote to get you off to a good start. And then there’s enough space to get your life organised. You can include your to-do-list, your schedule, what exercise you’re doing that day and what food you’re eating. As well as sections for you to include what you’re most excited about for the day, what the good things were and what your hopes are for the next day.

Throughout the year, and on a monthly and daily basis, you’re also asked to evaluate your happiness. And record how you feel about what you’ve achieved and what your accomplishments have been. I really love that this planner forces you to reflect and acknowledge how much you’ve actually achieved so far. And remind you to keep working on your goals. It’s a great motivation tool as well as reminding you how far you’ve come.

The Happiness Planner I got runs from January to December. But you can also get a planner that runs the school year. And a 100-day version which is dateless. So you can start that one at any time in the year. I wanted the January to December one as the New Year felt like a good time to really get stuck into this planner. And making positive changes to live a fuller, happier life. It’s not that I’m not happy. I’d consider myself a generally happy person. But you can always be happier right? And 2018 for me is all about change. So goodbye to the negative thoughts, feelings and people from 2017.

Finding happiness with the Happiness Planner

What do you think of the Happiness Planner? Do you have one? Would you use one?

I’ve never really been into planners – my phone is my diary, notepad and organiser all in one. But I’ve been so unbelievably stressed and anxious lately that, perhaps, I should give something like this a go.

This looks SO pretty I think I’ll have to invest in one quickly.
I’m such a stationary geek with about 5 diaries on the go at once ‘cos I can’t choose netween them but this is just too pretty to pass up.

I’ve heard so many good things about this one. I have a Kikki.K one but I might try this next year.

I thought about buying one this year but didn’t find anyone that I really liked. This one seems like a good option actually 🙂

I love notebooks, planners and diaries. Something rather satisfying about the way they feel and their physical presence. Love the idea of having a happiness planner, a great way to use aspirations for a positive way to look forward.

I buy cool notebooks and just slot in dates and tasks manually so I think I would love that 100 days one without dates in

I always start well with a planner and then it tails off. This does look like a good one though
