Five reasons to head to Fife this summer

Happy Monday! Now as you may have seen from last month’s posts, I spent a pretty fabulous weekend up in Fife. Enjoying all that Fife has to offer, including the great food, great sights and great company. Now if you’ve not been to Scotland before, then Fife should definitely be on the bucket list of places to visit. It’s steeped in history, surrounded by countryside and where Prince William met his real life Princess, Kate.But if you’re still not sold on the idea of Fife, then here are five reasons to head to Fife this summer:

Explore the Fife Coastal Path 

Stretching 117 miles, the Fife Coastal Path goes from the First of Forth in the south, to the Firth of Tay in the north. Now while I didn’t get the chance to walk the whole path, I did get to explore part of it. By walking from Elie back to the luxury safari lodges at Catchpenny.

See the sights of Crail 

As one of the most photographed harbours in Scotland, you can’t not stop off to see this local beauty spot. With charming cobbled streets, a miniature harbour and historic fishing cottages. This lovely fishing village is definitely not to be missed.

Shop for a feast at Ardross Farm Shop 

If great food is what you’re looking for, then look no further than Ardross Farm Shop. This award-winning shop is based just outside of Elie, and specialises in traditionally reared beef, fresh vegetables and other local products.

Get lost in the walled garden of Cambo Country House & Estate 

As one of the finest gardens in Scotland, this is a must visit for those of us who just like to explore and get lost in nature. There’s a modern edge to this traditional Victorian Garden. And with the Cambo burn running through, spanned by three brides, the walled garden definitely offers a tranquil environment to explore.

And the fifth reason? Well it’s just good to get out, explore and discover something new in the UK. And with sites as beautiful as these, why would you not want to head to Fife?
