Happy Monday, and happy April Fool’s day. How did it suddenly becoming April? The first three months have really flown by, and now we’re in quarter two of 2019. Spring has officially started, the clocks have sprung forward and it’s time to fully embrace the warmer weather and spring vibes. But you know what? I’m not sure I’m ready for it yet.
While I love spring, I also love the socially acceptable hibernation that happens with winter and long January/February days. And I still have SO much to watch on Netflix.
March saw me travel to Sweden for the first of a couple of work trips planned there this year. It also saw me have a lovely staycation at a beautiful hotel in Stevenage – my hometown. As well fighting the fear and heading off to a couple more blog events. Events that before would have set off my anxiety.
And what about April? Well there are so many good things to look forward to this month. Firstly, how excited is everyone for the final season of Game of Thrones?! I’ve set myself the challenge of re-watching all the previous seasons ahead of the new series. And I’ve failed completely. At the moment, I’ve only watched season 1! But here’s hoping I can finish a couple more before then.
Aside from Game of Thrones, there’s also a big family birthday to get excited for. A day trip to York, as well as a bottomless brunch in London – which I am really excited for! And let’s not forget Easter! Which I’m not ashamed to admit that for me, is more about the four day weekend, the chocolate and family meals, than the religious aspect.
But what about you? What are you most looking forward to this coming month? And if you’ve seen any great April Fools, let me know in the comments below.

Wow what a March getting to go to Sweden! It sounds like you have some lovely things planned for April, I have to admit I stopped watching GoT a few seasons ago – I should try and catch up though.
I am really looking forward to April and all that is has in store, one of which is my birthday. Hope you have lots of fun with what you have planned 🙂
As much as I love autumn and winter, I am really looking forward to lighter evening. I feel like I can get so much more done (otherwise it’s too tempting to stay inside and binge watch Netflix!) I am also very excited for the final season of Game of Thrones, eeeeek!
How fast is this year going? April is half term for the kids, they get HALF the month off!
Oh that’s an exciting month ahead, for me it’s mainly about getting back to normality after my holiday and trying to squeeze in as many things close to home as possible. This has reminded me that I want to re-watch a few Game of Thrones episodes too x
Your March sounds amazing! I do think looking back on your month to assess is nice. It helps to be grateful for all the fun and opportunities!
Sounds like you have an amazing April planned for sure. I must watch Game of Thrones – not watched it yet xx
So jealous you went to Sweden! I’m so excited about Game Of Thrones! Not long to wait now!
York and London sound exciting! We just a have day in Blackpool planned but going to Pembrokeshire in May
