Hello September

Now I don’t know about you, but this year is just flying by. I mean how is it September already? It won’t be long until the shops are filled with Christmas music and selection boxes. And while I do love Christmas, I also can’t wait for Autumn to arrive so I can light my candles and dig out my ankle boots and chunky knit jumpers. But before I wish the year away, let’s focus on September, and how much of a fresh start it feels like.

I know people normally associate a fresh start with January, but I always find September is a great time for a fresh start as well. Maybe it’s the nostalgia of heading back to school or university. But I find I feel more energised for the coming months once we hit this milestone.

But looking back at August, the past month was one I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to. Not only did I get to go away on holiday to Rhodes. But I also got to head away with work to the Peak District for an adventure-filled three-day break. While work has been a little chaotic lately, it’s now settled down which I am more than happy about.

And what’s happening for the month ahead? Well, this month is a little quieter. I have a couple of family birthdays coming up. As well as a bottomless branch – because that’s all I seem to do now. But I’m looking forward to spending more time at home, and more importantly, spending less money. I have big plans for the flat next year but I need to save some more pennies before now and then. Plus, I quite fancy a trip to the states. So that’s something else I need to save for.

What have you got planned for September?

Sounds like September will be fun. I find September to be a brand new fresh start too – it all stems from school, I think

I agree I think of September as a fresh start because of its connection to a new school year. Good luck saving for your flat and trip to the states.

It sounds like you had a fab August! I agree the year is going by so quickly but I am a little excited that September is here as that means its nearly Autumn which is my favourite season (and of course it means we are closer to Christmas!). Hope September is fab for you! x

I always look forward to autumn, because that means Thanksgiving is almost here (We celebrate in October). I hope you have a lovely fall season.

This is our busiest time of year for family birthdays too. There are so many. Other than I have nothing much planned.

September is definitely a great time for a fresh start. There’s a distinctive change in the weather, and our livestyle adjusts accordingly. Great look, this!

I too was not ready for August to end but was excited for September to arrive because it meant travelling to Seoul and Tokyo.
