When it comes to shampoos and conditioners, I like to mix it up. And with the amount of drugstore shampoos and conditioners on offer, great haircare really doesn’t have to cost the earth. Especially this new L’Oreal Nourishing Extraordinary Oil shampoo and conditioner.
One of the reasons why I was drawn to this range over my much loved Fibrology range from L’Oreal is that the Extraordinary Oil range claims to provide a solution to coarse and dull hair that lacks movements and shine. Which up until a month ago was my hair. It was long, it was dry at the ends and it just lacked nourishment and shine.
The L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil shampoo and conditioner works by delivering much needed oil to the hair to help inject moisture and lustre without weighing your locks down. Without going too scientific, the products contain ‘positively charged polymers’ which are attracted to the dryest parts of your hair, meaning your hair gets the nourishments it needs, where it needs it most. This helps the hair to become more balanced, shiny and smooth without excessive weight. If that wasn’t enough, the shampoo and conditioner also help to nourish the scalp to ensure the surface is hydrated so that healthy hair can start at the root.
Having used these now for a few weeks I’m a big fan of these products. They’ve helped to smooth my hair, add in moisture and inject shine, which is just what I want from my shampoo and conditioner.

I love L’Oreal haircare. I am using the strengthening one at the moment (I think it’s strengthening….green bottle anyway) and love it
L’Oreal is a firm favourite of mine as well, not tried the Strengthening one before though – might have to try that next x
I like to use Aveda shampoo as it is sulphate free. I tend to avoid most drugstore shampoos as they contain sulphates which not only irritate my scalp but also strip color from hair x

I keep looking for a shampoo that’ll make my hair shinier – I tried L’Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss which smelt amazing but sadly didn’t do very much for me. I’ve gone back to Aussie :p but I’ll have to give this a go! x
