My 2019 goals

My 2019 goals | Merry Musing

Happy New Year! Now I don’t know about you, but I’m not a big fan of resolutions. I find the whole concept of New Year, New You quite hard to get to grips with. After all, what’s wrong with staying the same and being who you’ve always been? For me resolutions aren’t my thing, instead I plan on setting goals that I hope are achievable. So here are my 2019 goals.

HAPPINESS

Now this might seem a bit of an odd one, but the number one goal for me in 2019 is to be happy. My happiness is something that I’ve really focused on in 2018 and it’s something that I want to continue into 2019. Now it might seem strange but being happy takes a lot of work. Well it does for me anyway. It’s not that I’m naturally unhappy, but it’s easy to feel inadequate, or unhappy when life happens. Which is why I’ve put a lot of effort into creating my own happiness, rather than relying on other people for it.

HEALTH

Now I’m sure I’m not the only person who wants to get a bit healthier in 2019. And I’m not about to set myself some seriously unrealistic goals of dropping three dresses sizes and five stone (as lovely as that would be). It’s just not realistic. So for me, I just want to move more, and be more mindful of what I’m putting into my body.

BALANCE

And the final goal for 2019 is to find more of a balance. That’s a work/life balance. I’m sure I’m not alone in struggling with this one. But finding more of a balance and learning to switch off is a priority for me in the coming year. As well as being better at managing my time which will allow me to continue with the blog. And actually put more focus and effort into my little space on the internet.

What are your 2019 goals?

Your goals are much more simple than mine and I’m wondering if I might have set myself up for a bit of failure now but time will tell! Hope 2019 is a good year for you xo

I’m hoping to be kinder to myself and the planet- Cutting down on plastic use and buying things I don’t need are my main aims.

I’m completely with you on the whole New Year, New Me thing. Why be someone else when I can just be me?

There’s some great goals here, I don’t like all of the goals people set where they want to change themselves either!

I think balance is an excellent goal, and that will probably help with your other goals as well. Hope you have a fab year!

Finding balance between work and home life was a struggle for myself last year and I’m like you and wanting to achieve a better balance and switching off. If you get any tips for this let me know!

Work and home life balance can be really hard to achieve, but making sure you find a great balance can make a huge difference and better environment for yourself 🙂 xx

Your goals sound similar to mine, I love the opportunity to start again somewhat, with renewed positivity and energy. I hope you have a great 2019.
