My experience with eyelash extensions

My experience with eyelash extensions

When it comes to beauty treatments, I’ve tried quite a lot of them. But the one treatment I hadn’t tried, but really wanted to. was eyelash extensions. I’ve always wanted long fluttery lashes that look thick and full and mascara just doesn’t give me the desired effect – which is why I knew it was time to try eyelash extensions. Especially as the lovely Leeann from Leeann’s beauty had come so highly recommended.

My experience with eyelash extensions

The treatment itself is so easy and surprisingly relaxing. It get’s a little tricky at the beginning as she has to tape down your lower lashes to ensure none of them get an extension attached to them but it’s not uncomfortable. You then just lay there with your eyes shut for an hour or two (depending on how many lashes you want put on) while she applies the extensions to your lashes. Oddly enough you can’t really feel her applying the extensions to your lashes and I can see why some of her clients choose to use this time for a little nap! While you have your eyes shut Leeann is busy applying an individual lash to your own lashes with special eyelash glue. And once she’s done, you get to open your eyes to see your lashes looking the best they have ever looked! As you can see from my pictures my lashes now look longer, fuller and thicker. Even with mascara I couldn’t recreate this look. And the best part is that you can’t even see or feel the glue on your lashes. They look and feel just like your own. You can’t apply mascara while you have these on as the mascara wand can pull on the extensions but why would you need to? With gorgeous natural lashes like this I have no idea why you’d need to wear mascara!

Seeing as I went away last weekend I thought I’d also treat myself to a gel manicure from Leeann. Now I used to get gels on my nails every three weeks a few years ago and loved it. It’s just so much easier with gel nails on – you don’t have to worry about your nails chipping or trying to find time to paint them. I’ve had Calgel in the past and love the durability of this gel formula. It’s applied using a small paintbrush, cured under the UV light and it lasts on my nails for a good three weeks. Leeann has a great selection of colours, including one of my favourites – baby pink!

If you’re looking for an excellent beauty therapist to make your lashes look amazing or just need a professional to do your waxing or give you a gel manicure or spray tan then I really recommend Leeann.

Have you tried eyelash extensions before?

Your eyelashes look amazing. Do you know how long they’ll last for?

I really want to try gel nails. I didn’t know it lasts for three weeks – could be perfect for me if it does as it is such a nice treat to have nails done. I’ve got really long lashes and never thought about looking into getting an extension. Yours look stunning on the photo.

Oh wow this does sound amazing! I think I’d be a bit scared with someone going so close to my eyes though. Does that make me a wimp? haha!

I really feel like trying it!
It looks great, I think it’s a good idea to do it before a holiday so you don’t have to worry too much about makeup!

Your lashes look wonderful! I’ve always wanted to give lash extensions a go. I’ve heard some horror stories because of them being applied all wrong, so it’s difficult to know who to trust in the local area. Your nails look lovely too, I think I prefer the look of gel over acrylic x
