St. Tropez In Shower Tan

St. Trpoez In Shower Tan

Like most of us out there, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this month’s issue of InStyle magazine and a sample of the new St Tropez In Shower Tan.  It’s a product that sounds too good to be true – it’s a gradual tanner that you apply in the shower, then rinse it off and wait for the tan to develop over the next few hours.  Sounds amazing right? And it is.

When using this you shower as you normally would, wash your hair, use your body wash and all that jazz then use as much of the product as you need to cover your body (or just the bits you want tanned). Now it’s the tricky bit. You have to wait three minutes before rinsing it off. Three minutes isn’t a long time, but it can feel like a long time when you’re standing in the shower. Now for this, I’d recommend you bring some sort of clock in to help you stick to three minutes and also have something to tie your hair up.

I found the thick and creamy formula makes this so easy to apply, but also easy to rinse off. I’ve yet to experience any streakage, which I normally do with other gradual tanners. Plus the colour is very natural – you don’t have to worry about appearing orange after using this in the shower. The thing you have to look out for is a colour build up around your knees, ankles and elbows if you’ve been using for a few days straight.

There is a slight downside to this gradual tanner, but one I’m happy to live with. You only get a hint of colour, so if you’re looking for a deep tan when using this, then you won’t get it. But if you already have a tan, or prefer a subtle hint of colour then this is the product for you.

This is the only in shower gradual tan I’ve seen on the market, so if you want a very easy way to self-tan then you should give this a go. It’s currently on offer in Boots for £14.50.

Have you tried this before? What’s your favourite fake tan brand to use?

I’ve heard mixed reviews about this one. I want to try it tho, since I guess it gives quite a natural tan 🙂

I’m so afraid of turning out like an oompa loompa after using fake tan, but it seems like this kind of gradual tan is the way forward ! Will be looking out for this when I next go shopping, great review 🙂
