It’s been almost a year since I did my first ‘the Beauty Blogger made me buy it’ post and seeing as beauty bloggers have influenced me in buying so many products recently, I thought I should write a part two…..
Tangle Teezer
As someone who has always had trouble brushing the tangles out of my hair, I was a little sceptical that this brush would be any better than others on the market. But having been influenced by so many reviews (and the gorgeous packaging) I tried one and haven’t looked back. It’s a great discovery and a firm favourite whether using on wet or dry hair.
Makeup Revolution Products
I know I covered Makeup Revolution in the first post but since then I’ve branched out from eyeshadow pallets and into the world of blushers and contours, all because of my fellow beauty bloggers.
Essie nail polishes
I have a weakness for nail polishes but I have an even bigger weakness for cute nail polish bottles and shades – like the Essie ones. And having seen so many bloggers take the cutest pictures of their Essie polishes, I’ve been buying them ever since. The formula is good, and they can be long wearing but I mostly buy them because they look pretty on my shelf and in pictures.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
This purchase was solely based on beauty blogger hype. I haven’t read a bad review on this concealer yet and it’s easy to see why – the concealer is AMAZING for the price. Considering you can pick this up for less than a sandwich and a diet coke, the creamy formula has a surprising high coverage pay off that manages to cover even my dark circles.
Benefit They’re Real Gel Push Up Liner
This was another purchase fuelled by beauty blogger hype. When the They’re Real liner launched last year it seemed that everyone and their mother was raving about how good this was, so off I went to Boots to try it out for myself. Like most people I really loved this, in fact, I still use it pretty much everyday.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
This is the much hyped about dupe for the Benefit Roller Lash and again another purchase made on the back of the launch of the new Benefit Mascara. And while I love using the Benefit version, I’m so pleased that I was introduced to this dupe as I actually prefer this one to the more expensive version. Mainly because it doesn’t leave my lashes looking flaky by the end of the day.
Real Technique Brushes
Before I started reading beauty blogs, I didn’t take much notice of makeup brushes. in fact, apart from using the ones that came free with certain products, I didn’t use any makeup brushes. I know, it’s shocking. But thankfully that’s all changed now and thanks to the wonderful world of beauty blogging I’m incredibly familiar with the amazing Real Technique brushes. For the price you really can’t get better than these.
Caudalie Beauty Elixir
A bit like makeup brushes, before entering the world of beauty blogging my skincare routine was pretty basic. I took my makeup off most nights and sometimes applied a little moisturiser. Boy how things have changed. And thanks to beauty bloggers around the world I’m now more familiar with what’s in my local Space NK than I am with what’s in my fridge. If it hadn’t been for them, I never would have come across this part serum, part toner and it’s nourishing cocktail of ingredients that soothes, renews and purifies my skin.
So these are just some of the things that the beauty blogger made me buy. What have beauty bloggers made you buy?

This is such a great post idea, especially as I too have been drawn into buying things just because beauty bloggers have said so
I’m not keen on Benefit’s eye items, I have oily skin and so they make me panda-esque after a few hours, so I may have to try the Maybelline dupe x
I don’t usually get too inspired by beauty blogger suggestions but only because I am on a quite limited budget and I currently love all of the products I am using, my skin is in a very happy place. Having said that I have to say bloggers made me check out coconut oil and I am so grateful, is there anything it doesn’t do?? Amazing stuff that has even lightened my dark circles.
The Benefit Liner is my holy grail! x
Emma
I’ve recently bought a tangle teezer after reading all the reviews and it’s so good! I bought the Glamglow mud clearing mask after reading lots of blog reviews and I must say it is a very good product! x
I love this post, there’s so many products I’ve tried because of Beauty Bloggers too! I live by my tangle teezer!
Lauren
The Caudalie spray is definitely on my list of things I need to pick up in Paris due to other bloggers!
Love this post! I agree, I only ended up buying the Tangle Teezer and Makeup Revolution products thanks to reviews by beauty bloggers. Unfortunately it would just take me too long to use my Tangle Teezer in the morning so I switched to an Ecotools paddle brush instead (which is totally amazing btw!). I’m definitely going to look into Real Techniques brushes, I’ve heard so many good things!
Poppy
I definitely own all of my Essie polishes due to blogger hype. I’m so glad I listened! x
I have so many of these products in my beauty bag, mostly because I too was convinced by beauty bloggers/vloggers to buy them!
Hope to see you on my blog sometime x
I prefer to use my hands when I apply my makeup, but I use makeup brushes occasionally. After reading so many reviews, I am very interested in the Real Techniques too! They looks really soft and pretty.
I have been lusting over the Maybelline Mascara literally just because bloggers love it! And i’m exactly the same with MR, it is a favourite brand amongst bloggers – I always see it on my twitter feed.
