Upping my skincare routine with Dermalogica

Dermalogica

When it comes to skincare, I have a few brands that I’ve relied on for a few years. Brands that I know make skincare products that work for my skin. Whether my skin is dry, oily or a mixture of the two. And one of those brands is Dermalogica. For over 25 years now Dermalogica has been dedicated to delivering quality skincare products that really do deliver. If you’re new to the brand or not sure which of their products would best suit your skin. Then I would definitely recommend finding your local Dermalogica rep and getting your face mapped.

If you’ve not had this done before, then you’re missing out. It’s really quick and free. Which is a bonus. And the consultant will be able to prescribe the perfect Dermalogica products for your different skin concerns. I went and got my face mapped about a month ago and they recommend four different products for me try:

Multivitamin Thermafoliant £47.50

Dermalogica

As a big fan of the cult favourite Daily Microfoliant, I was excited to give this a try. It works in a similar way to the daily one, but you only need to use this twice a week. It’s a self-heating skin polisher, which combines physical and chemical exfoliants to refine skin texture. But unlike other exfoliants I’ve tried, this one isn’t too rough on the skin. And I have to admit, every time I use this it feels like an experience you’d get in a spa.

Skin Renewal Booster £49.70

Dermalogica

Now this is an extra exfoliant but one that I tend to use on a daily basis. With a mix of lactic acid, salicylic acid and hibiscus extract, this works to exfoliate the dead skin cells. Which I find leaves my skin looking fresher, smoother and more illuminated. You can either use this on it’s own underneath your moisturiser. Or you can add some drops to your moisturiser.

Special Cleansing Gel £32

Dermalogica

Now I’m a big fan of the precleanse and this cleansing gel is the one you’d use after that. It’s a soap-free foaming gel cleanser that removes the day’s dirt and grim. But what I love about this is that is doesn’t affect your skin’s natural moisture balance. The mint and lavender extracts work to soothe the skin, while natural Quillaja Saponaria gently cleanses away the dirt for super-clean skin.

Active Moist £33.50

Dermalogica

Now as someone with oily skin, I need a moisturiser that hydrates my skin without being too thick and oily on my skin. And this is the moisturiser for me! It’s incredibly lightweight, nourishing and keeps my skin from developing any dry patches. With a mix of silk amino acids and a unique plant extracts combination. This moisturiser works to improve skin texture while leaving your skin looking and feeling nourished.

What do you think of these Dermalogica products? What are your favourite skincare products?

You can find out more about Dermalogica on their website. And than you to Preen Me for working with me on this.

The active moist sounds ideal, I’ve been looking for a light weight moisturiser for yonks. I ended up buying a really heavy duty one the other day and it didn’t do the trick.

Dermologica as a brand doesn’t agree with me and I’m really not sure why because I have so many friends that love it and swear by it!
