So last weekend, me and my boyfriend headed out on another weekend mini break. Though this time, the destination was a lot closer to home. It was London, where we spent one night at the ME Hotel London on the Strand.
The hotel itself is a very modern, sexy and sophisticated hotel. The reception is on the first floor in a huge triangular room that makes you feel like you’re at the bottom of the Shard. Our room was on the second floor in what they call an Aura room. The room itself was gorgeous. The 6ft wide bed, was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in , and probably one of the biggest. The bathroom was very modern, with sliding frosted glass doors, a double sink, wet room and toilet. They’d also written a cute quote on the mirror in the bathroom, which I thought was a nice touch. The room also contained a desk, two chairs and a table by the window, and a rather larger TV and mini bar. The air conditioning and lighting were controlled by a touch screen pad by the bed, which is probably one of the coolest things I’ve seen, and something I would love to have in my own home. The Hotel ME also has the Radio bar on the rooftop which has some amazing views over London.
We arrived on the Saturday afternoon and after checking in, went out to explore Covent Garden, which is one of my favourite places in London. Then we went back to the room to get changed, before heading out to dinner. We didn’t head out to anywhere fancy, just our favourite Byron burger, we then went back to the hotel, got into the giant bed and watched X Factor. Then on the Sunday, we went for lunch at Bill’s before heading over to the Tower of London to see the gigantic poppy display. If you’re heading to London over the next few months then I would definitely recommend that you go and visit this. We then had a leisurely stroll along the South Bank with some ice creams before heading back to the West End to go and see Let it Be, which is a must for any Beatles fan.
So that’s what I got up to last weekend, what did you get up to?

Aren’t the poppies at the Tower amazing. My company is involved with sponsoring and volunteering to ‘plant’ the poppies and it looks so amazing – a wonderful tribute.

Oh wow. I love the poppies, I’ve already brought one, can’ wait for it to arrive next year! x
Central and luxurious and a bed to just get lost in. My idea of heaven. I need to visit this hotel.

They are amazing, try and see them if you can x
