If you read my what I got in the post Christmas sales post, then you would have already seen this beauty. I picked it up in the Flannels post-Christmas sales. Firstly, Saint Laurent very rarely goes into the sale. Secondly, the bag had 30% off it’s retail price. I’m not exaggerating that finding this bag was like finding a unicorn. And what a beautiful unicorn the YSL uptown clutch is.
Yes this bag is thin. There’s no escaping the fact that if you’re looking for a bag to take bulky things in. And by bulky I mean keys, purse etc. Then this is not the bag for you. But if you want a thin evening bag that you can fit a couple of bank cards in, your phone and your house key. Then this is the bag for you.
You can even buy a conversion kit if you’re keen to turn it into an across body bag. I’m not sure that would my preference. But the option is there. I personally love to use this bag when heading out to dinner. Especially if I’m wearing a simple jeans and top outfit as the bag really elevates the look.
This envelope style bag is available in lots of different colours and styles on the YSL site, but I love the mock croc black with silver hardware. Although I am tempted by the canvas and smooth leather version. It looks perfect for summer!
So if you’re looking for a beautiful evening bag, then this is definitely one you should consider. It is thin and you can’t fit a whole lot in it. But it is beautiful and definitely elevates an outfit. And if it’s 30% off in the sale, how can you resist?!
