Now I don’t know about you. But do you ever see something you want while browsing the internet? It literally stops you in your tracks. And you realise that you need this item in your life. Then before you know it, you’ve tripped, fallen, and ended up with an email confirmation of the said item. Well, that is exactly what happened to me at the end of last week. And now I’m the proud owner of this Mulberry Mini Alexa in the beautiful colour Cloud.

Now I fell in love with the original Alex bag back when it launched in 2010. Named of course after the ever-cool Alexa Chung. And although I wanted one. My newly graduated salary did not stretch to one. Especially after I blew my first ever proper paycheque on a Mulberry Bayswater a couple of months prior.

But fast forward ten years, and it’s a little easier for me to pick a new bag when I fall in love with one. And I’ve fallen hard for this one. My last four bag purchases have all been across the body bags. And this one is no different. It’s a style that I love. It’s easy and comfortable to wear. And the Mini Alexa is the perfect size for across the body.

Now let’s talk about the colour. It’s a gorgeous cross between grey and pale blue. If you’re familiar with Mulberry and know the colour pale slate – here’s my Small Darley in that colour. Then Cloud is a slightly darker more muted version of that colour.

This bag wasn’t the cheapest. And Mulberry, like most brands, has seen price increases over the years. Although admittedly not as often or as steep as the likes of Louis Vuitton, Chanel, or Dior. But this bag isn’t cheap. It’s £895 for what is a small bag. You can’t fit a lot in. And given the soft nature of the leather. Too much weight in the bag would make the bottom of the bag sag. As well as being too heavy to carry across the body.

If you’re interested in the Mulberry Mini Alexa, you can find it on the Mulberry website. Although it has been going in and out of stock ever since I spotted it on Friday. So you might have to be quick if you want one.
