Now those of you who follow me on Instagram (cheeky plug there, but I’m worth a follow, I promise!), you may have noticed me teasing my new bedroom updates. For the past couple of months I’ve been updating my bedroom. And today is the reveal of my bedroom updates!
I moved into the flat just over three years ago and at the time I had a very clear vision of how I wanted the place to look and feel. The brief was pink and girly and that’s exactly what I had! You can see how the bedroom looked when I first moved in here. But over the years I wanted a change. So that’s what I did.

The first obvious change was the bed. When I moved in I brought with me my old grey double bed from my mum’s house. Which was fine at the time. But with it being a flat, and me being a shopaholic, I wanted an ottoman bed. Mainly to store all my things. But also because I love the style. So I upgraded to this pink king size bed from Danatti. Which I think fits the space a lot better.
Along with the new bed, I also changed the bedside tables. Again, the original Ikea Hemnes bedside tables came from my mum’s house. But given that the room is as big as it is, there was space to have to chest of drawers as bedside tables. So why not? As you know I’m a big shopaholic so the more space the better! These are also from Ikea and have so much space in them.

Another change is that my giant Hemnes eight drawer chest of drawers from my dressing room is now in the bedroom and the huge Laura Ashley mirror is now on the other side. The big unit is now in the bedroom as I’m trying to make space in the dressing room for a desk. I now work from home around four days a week and I want my dinning room table back. So this unit needed a new home.
I actually like the big unit in here, and much prefer the mirror the other side. It makes it a lot easier to take outfit pictures now! And then the final change is the wall colour. Goodbye pink and hello blue! I went for Dulux Cornflour White, which is a lovely soft blue colour.

So those are bedroom updates. What do you think? Do you like the changes made?
