Nine

Now I don’t know about you, but nine is a long time. A really long time. And today marks nine years since my blog first started. Did I think it would ever go on this long? Hell no. I’ve never been in a relationship for this long. Or been in the same job for this long. But nine years ago, I sat at my little desk in my bedroom and decided to do something I’d been toying with for the previous 18 months. So I started this blog. And nine years later we’re still going.

When I finally decided to start this blog, it was to bring together my three passions – photography, beauty and writing. Nine years later and it’s evolved. I still cover beauty but as I’ve changed and grown so has this blog. In the time of having this blog, I’ve changed jobs five times, brought my own place, travelled to 10 different countries and spent more that I should have on growing my handbag collection. So naturally the blog has evolved to reflect those new interests.

Back when I started this blog, I would have never guessed the kind of opportunities this small space on the internet would bring. I’ve been invited to some of the most epic parties, got to meet some of the most incredible people and have some amazing experiences. All thanks to my little blog.

While so many people might think that blogging is dead, it’s honestly still one of the things that gives me so much pleasure to do. Even if the opportunities and pr products stopped tomorrow. I know I would still blog. Why? Because I love it. And when you love something it doesn’t feel like work.

So if blogging still exists in nine years time, I really hope I’m still blogging. Here’s to the future, whatever it may hold!
