Autumn makeup picks

Now I don’t know about you, but I am more than ready for Autumn. If I’m honest, it’s one of my favourite seasons. As much as I love summer with the lighter evenings, and warmer days. I love the freshness and feeling of starting anew with Autumn. I enjoy seeing the landscape change colour and the temperature drop. Getting to wear my chunky knit jumpers and boots is always a treat. I just seem to feel more comfortable in Autumn attire. And that extends to makeup too. Out goes the pop of pinks and corals and hello darker, moodier tones. So with that in mind, here are my Autumn makeup picks.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THAT BASE

For the base, there is no better duo for me right now than the Embroylisse Lait-Creme Concentre paired with the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. I used the Embroylisse as a primer and it ensures my makeup is staying in place all day long. While Autumn is definitely cooler in temperatures, I also find that as I’m going from cold outside temperatures to warmer inside ones, I need something that ensures nothing is coming off my face. And this does just that.

You might have seen my pick up this Too Faced Foundation in Las Vegas but having used this before. I know that this is the perfect foundation to wear when we’re transitioning to colder months. Mainly because I find it incredibly hydrating. But also because it’s been colour matched for my Auutmn/Winter skin tone. Which is pretty pale. Which brings me onto the glow products that I’m loving for Autumn.

ALL ABOUT THAT GLOW

Now this bronzer has only been in my makeup collection for a couple of weeks now, but I am obsessed! I picked up the fair colour, which is the perfect shade for when I want to add a subtle glow to my complexion. You really only need a little of this product, as a little really does go a long way. And then to finish it all off, I couldn’t do an Autumn makeup picks post and not include the iconic Laura Mercier Powder. This is a year long staple for me. It doesn’t matter the season, this is never not in my makeup case.

ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS

For Autumn, I’m very much about sticking with a statement lip. And my new obsession is the Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink Lipsticks. This one is in the shade COY and I already know this will be my lip colour of choice this Autumn. It’s a great mix of pinks, purple, brown tone that just gives this beautiful berry colour that I’m obsessed with. Plus the formula means it really does stay put regardless of how much you’re eating or drinking.

For the cheeks, I plan on keeping it pretty simple with just a pop of colour in the form of the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Wand in Peachgasm. This again, just gives a beautiful subtle glow to the cheeks and leaves then looking the right amount of flushed.

And then finishing it off with my all time favourite mascara. The Mac Stack mascara. I have loved this mascara since it launched earlier this year and I really don’t think I’ll be replacing it with anything else in the near future.
So there you have it. Here are my Autumn makeup picks. Let me know what your favourite makeup product to wear in Autumn in.
