Fighting the shine with Clarins

Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Foundation

Happy Monday everyone! I don’t know about everyone else but one of the things I really struggle with is finding a good mattifying foundation. Especially now the weather is getting a bit warmer. While I prefer a dewy look in the winter, it’s all about the matte for me in the summer. Which is why I was really keen to get my hands on the new Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Foundation and compact.

Now this is just about to launch and if you’re a fan of mattifying foundations then you need to give this a go. Trust me you will not be disappointed! Not only it is incredibly lightweight to wear on the skin. But it also blurs imperfections and minimises lines and pores thanks to the acacia gum mircopearls. There’s red clay in there as well which helps to eradicate shine. And the soft focus peals add luminosity for a truly flawless complexion.

Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Foundation

There are currently five shades available. And I had two of them to try – 01 Nude Ivory, and 02 Nude Beige. 01 is perfect for my skin right now as I’m incredibly pale. But 02 will be perfect as we move into summer and I hopefully get some sort of a tan! The other three shades are 03 Nude Honey, 04 Nude Amber and 05 Nude Cappuccino.

Along with the new foundations, Clarins are also launching a Pore Mattifying Kit. Which features a super-fine translucent powder and refillable blotting papers. To ensure you stay shine free throughout the whole day! I love using both of these together and they worked brilliantly at keeping my skin matte during the recent warm weather.

Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Foundation

The Clarins Pore Perfecting Matifying Foundation (£28) and compact (£33) both launch on 9th April. And you can see more of the Clarins summer collection next week, so stay tuned!

What do you think of this combination? Are you a fan of mattifying foundations?

My makeup has been sliding off my face within seconds it seems, especially as I have oily skin! I need a good matte foundation and Clarins does great products as well x

I used to be a huge fan of matte foundations but my skin just doesn’t agree with them anymore 🙁 I absolutely love Clarins though, their skincare range is my all-time favourite x

I have used mattifying foundations in the past, however I’m now at the point where they are just not right for me. This Clarins one sounds like a great one, especially in that it also blurs imperfections and fine lines x

I tend to stay away from Clairns in favour of Kat Von D and other trendy vegan products, but this looks like it could make a great gift!

As someone who doesn’t really wear makeup, some of these things are like reading from a science book for me! I wish I had been that female who loved makeup and perfected it but I just haven’t! I do love the sound of the foundation though!

This is a must have for me! I’m like you, during the summer I don’t want to look too dewy as I end up just looking like an oily, sweaty mess lol. xx

I’ll have to pick up a sample of this next time I’m passing a counter. As the summer heat finally begins to hit us I prefer to use a mattifying foundation to avoid excess shine
