Feeling festive

Feeling festive

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Well in my house it is. It’s officially December, which means it’s time to get in the festive spirit. December has always been my favourite month, and it definitely it my favourite time of the year. Not only is it my birthday month, but it’s also the month of Christmas and where I have the most time off work. And I’m really feeling the festive spirit at the moment. All my presents are bought, and wrapped (yes, I am one of THOSE people). My cards will be out in the post this week, and my beautiful tree is up and looking festive!

Feeling festive

Now my tree might not be of the traditional kind, but for me, it’s not really Christmas unless there’s a bit of tackiness. Life is too short to always have a classy, colour coordinated tree. So why not take advantage and have the colourful one? This year’s tree is full of jewel toned decorations with a couple of flamingos and disco balls thrown in. Because nothing says Christmas like a flamingo in a sparkly Christmas hat.

So what have I got planned for this festive season? Well, for the first time I’m off for a whole two weeks over Christmas. Which I’m really looking forward to. It’s been a long year, and work has been quite intense at times. So a break is just what I need this year. I’m spending the big day itself with my brother and his wife, my mum and step dad and my sister-in-law’s parents. It’s the third time we’ve spent the whole day together and I have to admit I’m excited for the amount of fun we’ll have on the 25th. Feeling festive

Are you feeling festive yet? When did you get your tree up and decorated this year?
