Is the Elemis Smart Cleanse Micellar Water worth the £24 price tag?

Elemis Smart Cleanse Micellar Water

When it comes to skincare, I’m often guilty of using a micellar water as part of my skincare routine. They’re quick and easy to use when you’re in a rush. And so far the ones I’ve tried have all done the job exactly the same. They’ve taken off my makeup and left my face feeling clean before I move onto the next step of my skincare routine. But all of the micellar waters I’ve used in the past have been pretty cheap. Which is why I wanted to try the Elemis Smart Cleanse Micellar Water to see if it’s worth the £24 price tag.

Now don’t get my wrong, I’m a big fan of Elemis and their products. And to be honest I don’t expect their products to be cheap. You do get what you pay for afterall. But I’m not sure I could justify spending £24 on a micellar solution when you can pick one up for under £5 from other brands in Boots or Superdrug.

So what’s in this one to make it so special? Well it does smell a lot nicer than others I’ve tried. It’s infused with rose water which helps to soothe and hydrate your skin. It also contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory chamomile, rosehip seed oil and Indian Soapnut to really cleanse your skin. Plus the bottle is a lot nicer than others I’ve tried. The pump is a nice touch and means you don’t run the risk of using too much product.

So is it worth the extra pennies? Ultimately I’ve found that the micellar waters I’ve used all do the same thing – they remove my makeup quickly, effectively and conveniently, without irritating my skin. For me it’s about choosing the brand I like with the ingredients that work well for me and my skin.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you spend £24 on buying the Elemis Smart Cleanse Micellar Water?

Elemis are a great brand but I wouldn’t pay this I’m afraid. I like Nivea Micellar water personally as its great for sensitive skin

I think it really depends on what you need. I used cheap cleansers and more expensive ones. I wouldn’t personally give £24 for it 😉

I’m one of the many people that adore Garnier’s Micellar water, it does the job and I simply cannot argue with the price tag so it’s definitely one I’ll be sticking to. I’m sure the Elemis water works just as well, but why spend the extra money I guess!

I did enjoy Garniers until I learned that one of the key ingredients was paint stripper. Tbh i’m not sure of how I feel using a product like that as I know that must be so drying and stripping to the skin! Having said that 24 Quid is alot for basically a bottle of water.

Hopefully theres a brand that is just in the middle for price range and skin goodness.
