Out of office is on

Now I don’t know about you, but I’m not ready to let the summer go. Which is why my out of office is on and I’ve booked myself a last-minute flight over to Portugal to see my mum and step-dad and stay at their place in the Algarve. And I can’t wait.

Portugal will always hold a special place in my heart, mainly because I’ve been lucky enough to visit the beautiful coastline of the Algarve many times now. My mum and step-dad have had a place out there for YEARS now. But when I was younger, I never really took advantage of the fact they had it. Instead, I used to spend my money on holidays to new and exciting destinations. After all, the world is a big place. But recently, I’ve been over there more often. I think now I’m older, I really appreciate the chance to just hop on a plane and get away for a couple of days for some rest and relaxation.

Which is what I will be doing on Sunday as I board the plane from Luton for the short flight down to Faro. Now while the temperature won’t be super hot. It will be a pretty pleasant 26 degrees. Which I’m more than happy with. Especially as I plan to just chill over the coming week. Before coming back and heading into the chaos that is my life at the moment.
