Seven years of Merry Musing

Now I don’t know about you, but I really can’t believe that today is my blog anniversary. Today this little blog turns seven. SEVEN! Seven years of Merry Musing. I know I say this all the time but this blog really is my longest commitment. I’ve never been in a job, or a relationship for this amount of time. Not only is this the biggest commitment in my life. But it’s also my biggest passion. It’s the thing that I think about day in and day out. There really is no downtime when you’re running a side hustle like this. But I really wouldn’t have it any other way. 

A lot has changed in seven years. I started this little space on the internet to bring together my three passions – beauty, photography and writing. And seven years later, I’m lucky enough to still be doing this. While the whole blogging landscape has changed and evolved over the years, with the rise of YouTube and Instagram. I still get great pleasure from producing blog posts and reading posts from some of my other favourite bloggers. Although most have focused on other media, there is still a place for bloggers and great blog content.

Now I never started this blog as a way to replace my career. But I did start it out of passion. And seven years later, the passion is still there. It might have dwindled a little as real life has taken over. But I honestly can’t imagine not having this blog in my life and I wouldn’t want a life without it.

So as I’m celebrating seven years of Merry Musing I just want to say a big THANK YOU! Thank you to each and every one of you who reads my blog, who comments on my posts, who likes my Instagram snaps and Tweets. As without you, I wouldn’t get to do as half of the amazing things I get to experience because of this blog. So I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and here’s to the next seven years! Thank you!
