By the time you read this I will hopefully be sunning myself on a beach somewhere, enjoying an ice cream and sipping a cocktail. I wish. I’ve gone away this weekend to an English seaside resort, so I’m guessing that right now I’m probably eating fish and chips somewhere trying to dodge the seagulls and drizzle. The joys of the British seaside.
But seeing as I am away for a few days, I thought I’d share with you what’s in my travel make-up bag for a weekends away.
Primer
Rimmel Fix and Perfect primer is my new favourite primer. Even without foundation on the top, this makes my skin look better than normal and just helps to smooth out the skin.
Foundation
I don’t like to wear too much make-up when I’m away so instead of a foundation, I’m taking with me the new CC cream from Bourjois, which just gives the skin a really nice, light coverage, helping to correct issues of redness and fatigue. It also gives my skin a lovely luminous glow which I’m sure the sea will add to.
Blusher, bronzer, highlighter
Rather than take separate blusher, bronzer and highlighter, I’m trying to save space in my make-up bag so am taking with me the Sleek Make Up Face Form Palette which has all three included and a handy mirror.
Powder
I couldn’t not take my new favourite powder, the Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder, away with me. I’ve been using it pretty much everyday since I brought it.
Concealer
Now I’m hoping that as I’m away, I’ll be able to catch up on lots of sleep, but if that fails, I’ve packed my trusty Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer
Eye primer
Since purchasing this MUA Eye Primer, I’ve literally used it every single day and not sure I can now go without this, so this was an obvious choice to include in my weekend away make-up bag.
Eye Shadow
Again I’m trying to be good and save space, so rather than take with me a naked palette, I’m instead taking a Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze, MAC Satin Taupe, MAC Honey Lust and MAC Nylon.
Eye liner
I’m taking with me one liquid liner, the Bourjois Liner Feutre and Topshop’s Kohl pencil in Coal.
Mascara
Seeing as I’m only going away for a few days, I’m packing a mini version of the amazing They’re Real mascara by Benefit.
Lips
As I’m by the sea and it’s probably going to be windy, I’m only taking with me two lip products, one is Revlon’s Lip Butter in Sorbet for the evenings and Lanolips in Rose for the daytime.
Setting spray
As I’ve mentioned, I fully expect the weather to be windy so I’m taking with me my trusty MUA Face Setting Spray in the hope of my make-up staying put.
What do you pack in your weekend away make-up bags?

Hope you’ve had/are having a great weekend.
Victoria
Thank you! I had a lovely time, did not want to come home and face reality again! x
