Now I don’t know about you, but I live by the Carrie Bradshaw quote, ‘I like my money where I can see it, hanging in my wardrobe’. And that’s especially true when it comes to my handbag collection. I mean I could, and probably should, store them in their dustbags. But honestly, where’s the fun in that? I like looking at them. As well as being functional, they’re also small pieces of art. But I also want to protect them. Because some of these babies are probably worth more than a piece of art. Which is why I wanted to share with you all how I store my designer handbags.

Now, as you can see, I do store them all on my shoe shelf. Now when I designed this dressing room a few years back. I didn’t have that many bags. But fast forward to now and my handbag collection has grown significantly. but the space to store them really hasn’t.
Now I try to be practical, and keep the bigger bags at the bottom. Here you’ll find my two biggest Louis Vuitton bags, the Neo Noe and the Neverfull. Along with my Aspinal of London Midi Mayfair bag. The top handle isn’t adjustable which is why it has to stay at the bottom as it can’t fit in the middle shelfs.

Moving up you’ll see that I’m using these clear acrylic storage containers to store three bags at a time. As I have a lot more smaller bags, I find these help to not only keep them organised. But to also help with keeping them upright. I picked these up on Amazon and they are absolutely worth it.
I love how they keep my handbags neat and organised. And by being acrylic I can easily see where my handbags are. I try and organise my handbags together in groups of either matching sized bags, or matching brands. So my two YSL Wallet on Chains are in one. My two Mulberry Lily’s and my Mulberry Darley are in another. And then the third is a random mix of my Louis Vuitton Pouchette Felicie, my Chanel Woc and a YSL.

My other Chanel bags, and the newest addition in the form of the Apsinal of London Trunk Bag are too big to fit into these containers, so they sit separately on a shelf. Along with my Mulberry Small Amberley bag.
So there you have it, that’s how I organise my designer handbags. If you have a bag collection please let me know how you organise your bags.
